David Newton
David is Jenkin Piano's cabinet polisher and refinisher. His work encompasses all aspects of cabinet refinishing, from repairing small blemishes and transport damage, to entirely stripping and repolishing cases. David’s work can transform sun-bleached pianos or ageing finishes to showroom condition.
David joined the company in 2009 after completing a four-year apprenticeship in wood finishing and gaining his trade certificate in Marine Surface Application.
Before starting with Jenkin Piano, David worked as an interior wood finisher on superyachts and as a painter and furniture polisher.
In his spare time, David enjoys watching motorsport.
